The little man started walking this weekend, since the clan has returned from Grandma’s.  He’s been puttering around off and on for a while, but all of a sudden has decided to really take off.  I forgot how much fun it is when the little ones are taking the first steps.  He’s going to be a little wildman, though.  He’s already getting into everything, climbing on everything, and falling off of everything.  He’s pretty resilient; everytime he falls, he just looks around, grins and takes off again!  He has a little train that he can sit on, it has wheels and a handle.  Last night he figured out that if he can hang onto the handle, he can push the train across the room.  He can go faster that way, too.

The wife and kids are at grandma’s for a while, so I’m a temporary bachelor.  I miss them all; it’s too quiet around here.  They are enjoying their stay, lots of folks to see back in SD while they are there.  It’s giving me a little time to catch up on a few web and other projects, so I need to work fast while they are gone.

Working on a bunch of big projects at work; leading a web video format “task force” for the institution, national conference website, more departments needing new content developed, specs on video and streaming server, web/brochure project to name a few.  Keeps me out of trouble!

Just wanted to wish Nevin a happy 35th birthday.

Happy Birthday Nevin, I figured if I gave you an entry on the blog, I wouldn’t have to buy you a card!

Kristi and I decided to ride into Jackson Hole, Wyoming today.  We stopped at an internet cafe so I could check email, no internet at the lodge, and thought I would drop a quick note.  We’ll stop at Teton Village before we go, leaving for home tomorrow.

Had a nice holiday weekend, stayed close to home for the most part.  Deidra had her garage sale on Fri. & Sat., and did okay.  She still has lots of kid’s clothes left, so she’s talking like doing it again this fall.

I picked up a different weed-eater on Saturday, I can’t keep the other one running.  I picked up a used on of of the classified ads from my workplace, and let me tell you, that thing cuts grass!  I cleaned up around buildings, trees, etc. and was cutting weeds and grass that had already grown two to three feet! Hopefully it holds up for a summer or two…

Went to IKEA then Mall of America on Monday, and took Maesa to Camp Snoopy.  She’s getting pretty brave, and rode on pretty much every ride she was tall enough for.  Mom went along on the log flume; she wasn’t too sure about that one at first, but did want to go again after.  She took a real liking to the hoopy frog thing; it went up in the air and bounced its way back down.  I think she went about four times in a row on that one.

Met Kerry, Karen and the boys for supper in Apple Valley, then came home.  It will probably be the last trip until the reunion in June.
