It got to be a long night, but it was fun. I got to the theater around 9:30 for the movie, and Nevin and Julie were there with our seats saved. The weather was dreary but the 14 screen theater was prepared, so they opened theaters as movies got out for Star Wars fans to settle in. Many fans were there in costume, and the theater we were in had many laptops and portable DVD players going with previous Star Wars movies playing, LucasArts Star Wars games being played and also lots of people reading books. It was an interesting people watching experience to say the least. Darth Vader loses some of his...maliciousness when he walks into a crowded theater with his helmet off, is starting to go bald, and has a huge bucket of popcorn. I enjoyed the movie, although it was kind of predictable; you knew where the characters were going, just not sure how they would get there. All in all it was a fun night with good friends and a great time being a small part of a somewhat historic event. Got home a little after 3AM, but made it to work! ![]() Nevin, Julie and I decided to go to the Star Wars premiere tonight at 12:05 AM. I’ll be worthless tomorrow, but this is one of those once in a lifetime chances. I’ve always enjoyed the Star Wars films, I’m just not a total SW geek; I don’t own a lightsaber, I’ve never been to a convention, and I’ve only imitated Yoda when nessesary the situation was.
![]() Here is a screenshot of my Dashboard weather widget. accuweather.com is the source. Just feels like winter never ended. We’ve had a few nice days but they’ve been few and far between I shouldn’t have to wear a coat when I mow the yard. The weather affects moods, but everyone seems to be holding up fairly well; a real bunch of positive people… ![]() Here’s my new office and work station. I now use a 15” Powerbook and a 20” Cinema Display. The Mac has the new Tiger OS, lot’s of RAM, a great video card, a SuperDrive, and pretty much anything else you can think of. It’s an awesome computer!

kevinrydberg.com has been moved into Expression Engine. Expression Engine has taken over my site. I was out looking at something the other day and realized that I had some broken pages. I was playing around with CSS and a possible layout and evidently while moving files around onto my new computer, I had a couple of bad things happening. I decided it was time to move everything into EE so I could actually learn the darn thing.
I’m going to keep things a little simple for now because I want to get in the habit of posting on a somewhat regular basis. I will have quite a few posts for a while, bringing old content online in a blog format. I will also have the opportunity to post some new pictures of the kids, (see the family link) and more current graphic and web design examples.
